Better late than never. I boarded this taxi last March 18, 2010 from San Miguel Head Office in Ortigas and asked the driver to drive me to EDSA-Shaw MRT Station. He told me that it will be fixed rate. Since I don't want to feed his greed, I opted not to ride his taxi, took a photo of it and I left.

Nagabang minsan sa Life Homes, Pasig. Nung pinarahan ko para papunta ng Eastwood, humihingi 150 pesos (ang lapit ng eastwood mga nasa 70-80 pesos lang siguro yun) kasi traffic daw. Sabi ko sa Manggahan dumaan kasi alam ko walang traffic sa Manggahan. Sabi niya traffic din daw. Eh sabi ko sige pag traffic bigay ko gusto mo, pero pag hindi metro talaga yung batayan. Hindi na nagpasakay kasi pag ganun lang naman daw wag na lang. Mamatay na sana siya.

The taxi driver upon learning my destination demanded that I pay an extra amount apart from the amount to be incurred using the taxi meter. While inside the taxi, I tried to dial the phone number of the operator indicated inside the taxi (4929014) and learned that the tel. number is not yet assigned.

The taxi stopped near the Fort bus and the MRT Ayala station. The driver wanted two separate passengers instead of just one. A lot of taxis in this area do this as well. The barkers get money from this scheme.

I was so busy talking on the phone because I was running late. I came from 7th High and was heading to Resorts World. Two blocks away where I rode, and after I hung up the phone, cab driver (while eating) immediately said, "Ma'am 200 lang ha." In the middle of nowhere. I am so annoyed right now, but felt helpless because he contracted in the middle of nowhere. Call me at my landline for further report if needed. Thank you.
